Proposition 10

On November 1998, California voters passed the California Children and Families Act of 1998. The act levies a tax on cigarettes and other tobacco products with the intent to provide funding for early childhood development programs, in addition to establishing a State Commission and local County Commissions for this purpose.

Community Development Mini-Grants

BabywHat2Community Development Mini-Grant STEP Two Applicants: First 5 Imperial has allocated $100,000 for the purpose of awarding a number of mini-grant projects for funding for fiscal year 2018-2019. The maximum award is $25,000 for individuaMGImagel applications. The course of action entails a two-step process, where potential applicants submit a Statement of Interest to Apply form under Step 1 of this process. The Commission selects applicants submitting Statement of Interest to Apply forms for Step 2, thus inviting selected applicants to apply by completing and submitting a Community Development Mini-grant Application by May 21, 2018. At the April 12, 2018 regular meeting of the Commission eight agencies, that submitted Statement of Interest to Apply forms, were selected to continue on to Step 2, and therefore were invited to compete for a Community Development Mini-Grant award for the 2018-2019 funding cycle. Step 2 applicants can download copies of the application guidelines and relevant forms by clicking on the following links:
